Generally speaking we are not fans of off-the-shelf Leadership Development Programmes. We will work with you to create a bespoke, practical solution to match your needs and the needs of the individuals concerned. You will then have greater confidence that any intervention you implement will have the right level of impact and your return on investment will be high in terms of personal development and embedding behavioural change.

In all our experience, an integrated approach to any organisational development or culture change programme is essential in order to stand the best chance of embedding the intended culture in the shortest possible time and to avoid any unintended consequences of work in one area negatively impacting on other factors.

We believe it is always a good idea to see any leadership or management development intervention, no matter how large or small, within the context of the wider organisational culture because clearly leadership and management capability, style and approach can have both a positive or negative impact on the culture.

Prior to setting up SPM in 2003 Sarah held a number of HR roles. She was Business Manager for a large HR service at a time of transformational change and she has also led various cross functional/operational HR teams, L and D services, shared services and data/analytics teams (HRMS).

Sarah is a highly experienced and skilled HR and OD consultant, trainer and leadership coach and has been designing and delivering Leadership and Management Development Programmes for over 15 years… During this time we have undertaken numerous projects for a diverse range of clients from local and national limited companies, charities, uniformed services, local and central government and the NHS. We can work with managers and leaders at all levels, and often support our programmes with 1-1 coaching or Action Learning to ensure the best possible learning and development outcomes for individuals and the organisation. Depending on the scale and complexity of the intervention you are looking for, we have a small team of trusted Associates that can be assembled as required.

Sarah has been an active volunteer with the CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development since 2006. She served 11 years in total holding roles which have included Chair of CIPD Sussex, Chair of CIPD South East Thames (part of CIPD London) and member of the Membership and Professional Development Committee. Sarah also spent 5 years as Trustee Board Member of the mental health and wellbeing charity, Community Options, now part of the Heritage Care Group.
